Hello!  Here are my favorite samples using Sale-A-Bration products that were on display at Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2012.  I do not know who designed most of them, but will love to using these ideas in my upcoming workshops and classes! 🙂 Remember, until March 31, 2012, you can earn each of these stamp sets/paper/ribbon/brads FREE with a $50 order

Elementary Elegance (Wood – 125120, Clear – 125122) – This one was presented on Main Stage but I cannot remember who presented/designed these. Love the use of white embossing on the first four and VersaMark on the fifth one to show how easy it is to make beautiful cards with the fun frame that comes in this set!

Outlined Occasions (Wood – 126014, Clear – 126016) – This was probably my FAVORITE sample of all.  This simple use of the pennant punch and our brights collection was by Heather Summers.

Sprinkled Expressions (Wood – 125130, Clear – 125132) – I loved the combination of the star stamp with the Big Shot Stars Die. Lots of great texture on this card too!

Fresh Vintage (Wood – 125115, Clear – 125117) & Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (126154) – I thought this pair of projects was just so pretty. The Everyday Enchantment DSP that both of these projects feature is my favorite DSP Stampin’ Up! has ever released!!! I am already dreading March 31st and this DSP going away. I’ve gotten 3 packs of it already (we got one as a giveaway at Leadership!).

Mica-Christmas-Lodge-Card

Hello again stampers!  Today I have a beautiful card for you that I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) off of one of the Founder’s Circle swaps that have been all over the web.  I do not know who originally made this card but I LOVE it!  One of my favorite features about this Christmas card is the Mica Flakes adhered onto the tree!  So, so pretty in real life and nice and flat for mailing.  It also uses the beautiful Christmas Lodge stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The ribbon treatment on the bottom is also unique as well as again being flat for mailing as well as economical if you need to mass produce Christmas cards.  Just a small strip of the Cherry Cobbler Polka Dot Ribbon layered with the Victorian Crochet Trim.  TIP:  I recommend adhering these ribbons with Sticky Strip.  It’ll make your life easier – trust me!

Here’s the rest of the supplies below so you can recreate this beauty for yourself.

If you didn’t know, today is America Recycles Day so we’re going to focus on ways to recycle with our papercrafting hobby!  Here are 5 ideas of how you can recycle leftover supplies:

1.  Punch out scraps of paper to use on cards or scrapbook pages.

2.  Received a Stampin’ Up! order lately?  Use that pretty brown packing paper on a card or scrapbook page.  I love to punch out scallop circles out of the paper and layer them to make poufy flowers.  You can even stamp on it!

3.  Donate all your scraps to a local elementary school to put to use in their creative projects.

4.  Use unconventional supplies on your cards or scrapbook pages – I’ve used the plastic pop can connectors and scratched CDs that no longer play on scrapbook pages.

5.  Save a cardboard box and tear the top layer off to reveal the corrugation.  Ink it up with craft ink or acrylic paint and use it to stamp a pattern on a card, scrapbook page or other project.  You can also re-purpose bubble wrap and use it in the same way.

6.  With the holidays coming, save the boxes you receive online orders in and reuse them to wrap your gifts this holiday season.  This is also a great tip for birthday present wrapping as well!  Do this instead of purchasing shirt boxes or other gift boxes and save money and help the Earth at the same time!

7.  Have supplies you haven’t used in a year?  Donate them to Operation Scrapbook, a charity that strives to provide Foster Children and children with cancer their own scrapbooking supplies completely free of charge.  Letting others “reuse” your supplies in this way, helps both those children, the Earth, and your own cluttered space all at the same time!  Smile If you’d like to donate to Operation Scrapbook, send your donation to Operation Scrapbook, 3407 NE Excelsior St., Kansas City, MO 64117.

Pick one of these tips and contribute to America Recycles Day!
